\n Bills Will Have New Kicker; Cornerbacks Dealing With Groin Injuries<\/p>\n
The Bills will have a different kicker Sunday as Tyler Bass (hip\/groin) was placed on injured reserve, meaning he’ll miss at least their first four games.<\/p>\n
Buffalo signed veteran kicker 41-year-old Matt Prater to its practice squad this week and he’ll be elevated to play Sunday. Prater was 6-for-6 on his field-goal attempts last season during four games with the Arizona Cardinals.<\/p>\n
Bass hit 82.8% of his field-goal attempts last season and connected on two critical fourth-quarter field goals, including a 51-yarder, in the Bills’ playoff win over the Ravens.<\/p>\n
The Bills also have injury concerns at cornerback. Top corner Christian Benford (groin) has returned to full practice, but fellow starter (and former Raven) Tre’Davious White (groin) hasn’t practiced all week and is doubtful to play.<\/p>\n
Buffalo’s rookie first-round pick, cornerback Maxwell Hairston, was placed on injured reserve\/designated for return due to a knee injury.<\/p>\n
