Summer must be coming to a close, because the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards<\/a> are just days away. Since announcing the first round of performers<\/a> for the highly anticipated awards show, which included Sabrina Carpenter, Ricky Martin and Busta Rhymes, MTV has added an additional crop of artists to the roster.<\/p>\n

On Friday, MTV announced that Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Yungblud and Nuno Bettencourt will come together for a moving tribute performance to the late “Prince of Darkness,” Ozzy Osbourne.<\/p>\n

Last week, Lady Gaga was also announced as a performer. The VMA-winning pop star is set to bring the “Mayhem Ball” to the main stage \u2014 and she’ll be in star-studded company too. Also hitting the stage are Post Malone, Jelly Roll, Tate McRae, Conan Gray and Doja Cat.<\/p>\n

Some of these performers will also be receiving honors on Sunday night: Martin will receive the Latin Icon Award, while Rhymes will be honored with the MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award. Mariah Carey, this year’s Video Vanguard Award winner, will also perform a medley of hits from her decades-spanning discography.<\/p>\n

The awards show will air live on Sunday, Sept. 7, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS for the first time<\/a> and will simultaneously be streamed on MTV and Paramount+. The evening\u2019s festivities, hosted by rapper and actor LL Cool J, will take place at New York\u2019s UBS Arena.<\/p>\n

Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are set to take the stage to honor Osbourne, who died in July <\/a>at age 76, on Sunday night by performing a medley of his hits. Also joining them for the performance are fellow rockers Yungblud and Nuno Bettencourt.<\/p>\n

Lady Gaga\"Lady<\/p>\n

Those attending the MTV Video Music Awards are in for a treat on Sunday night \u2014 they’ll witness Lady Gaga take the stage with a performance from her theatrical Mayhem Ball tour.<\/p>\n

Mariah Carey\"Mariah<\/p>\n

On Sunday night, Mariah Carey, who is set to receive the 2025 Video Vanguard Award<\/a>, will also perform a medley of hits to commemorate the honor. The Video Vanguard Award marks Carey’s first Moon Person, despite receiving nine career nominations.<\/p>\n

Sabrina Carpenter\"Sabrina<\/p>\n

Carpenter, whose seventh studio album, Man\u2019s Best Friend, was released on Aug. 29<\/a>, will make her return to the VMA main stage on Sunday night. The pop star is a top contender this year with eight nominations, including Video of the Year for \u201cManchild\u201d and Best Album for Short n\u2019 Sweet.<\/p>\n

Post Malone\"Post<\/p>\n

Six-time VMA winner Post Malone will make his return to the awards show stage after seven years. The rapper-singer is nominated for Best Collaboration with Blake Shelton for their joint track, “Pour Me a Drink.”<\/p>\n

Jelly Roll\"Jelly<\/p>\n

Beloved rapper-songwriter Jelly Roll will perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. He’ll compete for his first-ever Moon Person this year, and is nominated in four categories, including Best Country and Best Hip-Hop.<\/p>\n

Tate McRae\"LONDON,<\/p>\n

Tate McRae, who has been booked and busy with her “Miss Possessive Tour,” will make her first VMA appearance on the main stage. She’s also up for six awards this year, including Song of the Year for “Sports Car” and Best Pop Artist.<\/p>\n

Making his main stage debut on Sunday night is Conan Gray. The singer-songwriter, who is bestie with past MTV VMA winner Olivia Rodrigo, will perform his hit single “Vodka Cranberry” from his fourth studio album, Wishbone, which debuted in August.<\/p>\n

Doja Cat\"Doja<\/p>\n

Five-time VMA winner Doja Cat will return to the stage for the first-ever televised performance of her latest single, “Jealous Type.” The rapper, who hosted the VMAs in 2021, last attended the awards show in 2023, during which she performed a medley of her hits.<\/p>\n

Ricky Martin\"Ricky<\/p>\n

Martin will make history as the first artist to receive the Latin Icon Award at the MTV VMA. The acclaimed Latin singer will make his VMAs return 26 years after he made history as the first male Latin artist to win Best Pop Video for \u201cLivin\u2019 la Vida Loca.\u201d<\/p>\n

Busta Rhymes\"Busta<\/p>\n

Rhymes will receive the first MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award, which celebrates an artist who\u2019s had a \u201cboundary-breaking cultural impact and an indomitable music career spanning 20 million albums worldwide,\u201d according to an MTV press release.<\/p>\n

Lola Young\"Lola<\/p>\n

Lola Young will make her Video Music Awards debut on Sunday night. The British pop-soul singer-songwriter will perform her acclaimed hit “Messy,” and will also compete for her first Moon Man for Best New Artist.<\/p>\n

KATSEYE\"Girl<\/p>\n

Taking the stage during the VMAs preshow is girl group KATSEYE, who will perform their hit tracks “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” from the new extended play release, Beautiful Chaos. This year, the group is nominated for MTV PUSH Performance of the Year and Best Group.<\/p>\n

Alex Warren\"Alex<\/p>\n

Warren, who is recognized as the newest MTV PUSH artist, will make his VMAs debut on Sunday night. This year he\u2019s up for three awards: Best New Artist, Best Pop Video and Song of the Year (for his hit single \u201cOrdinary\u201d).<\/p>\n

Balvin will take the VMA stage alongside Latin singers Justin Quiles and Lenny Tav\u00e1rez to perform their hit track \u201cZun Zun,\u201d before being joined by DJ Snake to premiere their song \u201cNoventa\u201d live. Nominated at this year\u2019s VMAs for his song \u201cRio,\u201d Balvin is currently the most-awarded Latin artist in VMA history.<\/p>\n

Singer-songwriter sombr will make his awards show debut during the 2025 MTV VMAs. This year\u2019s awards show also marks the first VMA nominations of his career, for Best New Artist and Best Alternative for his track \u201cback to friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Country singer Bailey Zimmerman will make his MTV VMA debut, where he’ll take the stage with five-time VMA nominee the Kid LAROI. Zimmerman is nominated this year for Best Collaboration and Song of the Summer.<\/p>\n
