Felix Auger-Aliassime one of the most successful tennis players<\/a> in Canada and throughout the world right now. He hit a career-high No. 6 in singles in 2022, which was the the second-highest ranking for a Canadian man on the ATP Tour<\/a>, so he\u2019s drawing attention in the tennis world<\/a>. Over the years, he\u2019s picked up seven singles titles, a bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and plenty of other honors.<\/p>\n But, who is Auger-Aliassime and what is his family like? His mom is a teacher, and his fathaer is a former tennis coach. He told The New York Times<\/a> that his father started teaching him to play at age 4, and his dad also taught his older sister, Malika Auger-Aliassime, to play.<\/p>\n He also shared with ESPN that<\/a>, \u201cOur parents wanted me to be a complete athlete. So we played all sports, but tennis always was at the top.\u201d<\/p>\n #2: He is Close With His Wellness Coach Andi Vial<\/p>\n Felix\u2019s wellness coach is Andi Vial, who is also a kinesiologist. \u201cKinesiology, derived from the Greek word for movement, \u2018kinesis\u2019, is the study of the mechanics of bodily movements,\u201d notes News Medical<\/a>.<\/p>\n Throughout the years, Vial and Auger-Aliassime have been close, so he\u2019s more than just his wellness coach. According to Town and Country Magazine<\/a>, Vial \u201cregularly sits with Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric in the box\u201d at matches.<\/p>\n #3: His Sister is Also a Tennis Player<\/p>\n His sister, Malika, is about two years older than Felix, and she\u2019s also a tennis player. As mentioned above, his father coached them both, so tennis is in the blood. She hit a career high junior rank of No. 554 as of 2016, according to Town and Country<\/a>.<\/p>\n Town and Country adds that Marie, their mom, joked in an interview with the Le Journal interview that Malika will still play tennis with her, but Felix wont because \u201cit\u2019s his job\u201d and \u201che doesn\u2019t want to play with his mother or sister anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n #4: His Parents Are Divorced<\/p>\n Marie dropped the news in a 2022 interview with Le Journal de Qu\u00e9bec that she and Sam had decided to get a divorced. But, she said that the two would still continue to work together to support their song with his tennis goals.<\/p>\n \u201cIt makes me even happier when people tell me that F\u00e9lix is \u200b\u200ba good person, that he\u2019s intelligent, because as a parent, I didn\u2019t raise a tennis player,\u201d she said at the time<\/a>. \u201cI helped a child become a comfortable adult.\u201d<\/p>\n #5: His Fianc\u00e9e is Nina Ghaibi<\/p>\n Auger-Aliassime and Nina Ghaibi got engaged in November 2024. The two met when they were just 18 years old, so they\u2019ve been together for around six years.<\/p>\n Ghaibi is also a professional athlete herself, and she often attends his matches to cheer him on.
