TAMPA, Fla., July 16, 2025\u00a0\u2013 The University of South Florida Men’s Basketball program and Head Coach Bryan Hodgson<\/a> have announced the Bulls’ 2025-26 non-conference schedule, highlighted by an appearance in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament and high-profile road matchups at Oklahoma State and Alabama. The Bulls will also travel to Kennesaw State for the inaugural Love Wins Classic, a newly established annual game honoring the late Amir Abdur-Rahim.

\nAlong with the three neutral-site games in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament, the Bulls will play 10 other non-conference games, including six in Tampa, a single neutral-site contest, and three on the road. The schedule features six teams\u00a0whose\u00a0NET ranking finished\u00a0inside the top-150 last\u00a0season, including an Alabama program that\u00a0made it to the Elite Eight last March.

\n“We’re looking to build a championship standard here at South Florida, and our non-conference schedule reflects that mindset,” said Hodgson. “These are the types of matchups that challenge us, grow us, and prepare us for March.”

\nKey Matchups in the Non-Conference Schedule Include:<\/p>\n
\n\tBattle 4 Atlantis (Nov. 26\u201328): USF heads to Paradise Island in the Bahamas for one of the premier in-season tournaments in college basketball. The field includes national powers and NCAA Tournament regulars. The full schedule and matchups are still to be announced, but the Bulls will play three straight days, Nov. 26-28.

\n\tLove Wins Classic at Kennesaw St. (Nov. 16): USF heads to Kennesaw State for the inaugural “Love Wins Classic,” honoring the late Amir Abdur-Rahim. The programs, each coached by Abdur-Rahim in recent years, plan to meet annually beginning this season.

\n\tRoad Games at Oklahoma State (Nov. 19) and Alabama (Dec. 17): Both power five opponents provide valuable road tests, with Alabama projected as a preseason Top 25 team.

\n\tHome Game vs. Utah State (Dec. 4): The Aggies finished with a\u00a0NET ranking\u00a0of 37 last season after reaching\u00a0the NCAA tournament, making this one of the most anticipated non-conference home games in Tampa.

\n\tBasketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off vs. George Washington\u00a0(Nov. 8 in Connecticut): USF faces Atlantic 10 opponent George Washington at Mohegan Sun Arena in a neutral-site contest. GWU finished No. 124 in last season’s NET rankings.

\nBefore the Bulls’ season officially begins, they will host an open-to-the-public exhibition vs. Saint Leo (Oct. 24). The regular season kicks off at home vs. FAMU (Nov. 3) at 8:00 p.m. ET.. The Yuengling Center will also see Coppin State (Nov. 12), Georgia College and State (Nov. 22), College of Charleston (Dec. 10), and UMBC (Dec. 21).

\nAbout USF Men’s Basketball
\nSouth Florida men’s basketball named Bryan Hodgson<\/a>, 37, as the program’s 12th head coach on March 24, 2025. Hodgson came to Tampa from Arkansas State, where he led the program to back-to-back 20-win seasons and its first postseason appearance since 1999 in his two seasons at the helm.

\nThe program, entering its 55th\u00a0season in 2025-26, most recently won the American Athletic Conference regular season championship in 2023-24 and has made 13 postseason appearances, including three NCAA Tournaments, nine NITs, and a CBI championship in 2019. Three former Bulls \u2013 Chucky Atkins, Charlie Bradley, and Rodenko Dobras \u2013 have had their jerseys retired and are members of the USF Athletic Hall of Fame.\u00a0The Bulls play their home games at the 10,400-seat Yuengling Center on the USF Tampa campus.<\/p>\n
