Featured pricing is subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>The Post\u2019s Mark Cannizzaro makes his picks for this week\u2019s Open championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland: <\/p>\n<p>Jon Rahm (+1200, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting\/betmgm-sign-up-offer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BetMGM<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s been in good form on LIV, loves links golf and won a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/article\/best-golf-betting-sites\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scottish Open<\/a> a few miles up the road from Portrush, at Portstewart in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Rahm, who\u2019s finished T-7 at the U.S. Open, T-8 at the PGA and T-14 at the Masters this year, is hungry to win his third major.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Viktor Hovland (33\/1)<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s getting close, having finished third at the U.S. Open, and he\u2019s finished T-12, T-4 and T-13 in British Opens, though missing the cut last year.<\/p>\n<p>Watch out for him this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Rory McIlroy (+900)<\/p>\n<p>Despite the pressure on him, it\u2019s difficult to discount McIlroy this week, especially coming off his runner-up last week at the Scottish Open.<\/p>\n<p>He has a score to settle at Portrush, where he missed the cut in 2019. AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Scottie Scheffler (+400)<\/p>\n<p>Scheffler finished T-8 last week at the Scottish and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/15\/sports\/scottie-scheffler-sometimes-i-dont-understand-the-point-of-golf-pursuit\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">just seems so relaxed in his own skin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His record at Open Championships has been the more mixed of any of the other majors, with his best finish a T-7 last year. That may change this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Get the lowdown on the Best USA Sports Betting Sites and Apps<\/p>\n<p>Shane Lowry (45-1)<\/p>\n<p>Can he defend the Open title he won in 2019 at Portrush? Sure.
