Hoover has officially signed and is enrolled in classes \u2013 making him immediately available to join the Red Raiders for the 2025-26 season. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Hoover played at Samuel Clemens High School where he earned All-District Second Team honors and helped lead his team to the regional finals and a 23-13 record last season. He is coming off a senior season where he averaged 11.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Hoover is\u00a0the eighth player to officially sign with Texas Tech this offseason after its run to the 2025 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight &#8211; following\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/tyeree-bryan\/13944\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13944\" target=\"_blank\">Tyeree Bryan<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/lejuan-watts\/13945\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13945\" target=\"_blank\">LeJuan Watts<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/donovan-atwell\/13949\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13949\" target=\"_blank\">Donovan Atwell<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/josiah-moseley\/13946\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13946\" target=\"_blank\">Josiah Moseley<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/nolan-groves\/13947\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13947\" target=\"_blank\">Nolan Groves<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/luke-bamgboye\/13948\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13948\" target=\"_blank\">Luke Bamgboye<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/jaylen-petty\/14050\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14050\" target=\"_blank\">Jaylen Petty<\/a>. Tech also added\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/marial-akuentok\/13938\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13938\" target=\"_blank\">Marial Akuentok<\/a>\u00a0who signed with the program on January 10 and joined the team as a redshirt freshman during the spring semester.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Red Raiders finished last season with a 28-9 overall record, including being second in the Big 12 standings with a 15-5 conference record. Tech matched the program record with a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the program&#8217;s third Elite 8.
