But Graves also captured imagery of the snake after it settled into the foliage to show how well it could blend into its surroundings.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Can you spot the rattlesnake?\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"576\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/6e084c907a74f029450744b25533892c.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Can you spot the rattlesnake?<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWould you have spotted this?\u201d David Simpson of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DNrDRTc3gfx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:WVTM News;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">WVTM News<\/a>, who shared Graves\u2019 footage late last month, asked his Instagram followers.\u00a0(The location is revealed in the video posted below.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Graves told Simpson that the rattlesnake measured 3-plus feet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/no-mistaking-legendary-king-chance-181619195.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:RELATED: No mistaking legendary &#039;king&#039; after chance encounter in India;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RELATED: No mistaking legendary &#8216;king&#8217; after chance encounter in India<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Simpson asked Graves how he was able to spot the rattlesnake during his hike to King\u2019s Chair, and Graves responded: \u201cWhen hiking I\u2019m looking 10 feet ahead of me. Bonus is knowing almost every detail of the trail since hiking it over 400 times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Alabama has three types of rattlesnakes: the eastern diamondback, timber rattlesnake, and pygmy rattlesnake.
