Just hours ahead of the official announcement, a leaker has suggested that the iPhone 17 Air<\/a> may instead simply be named the iPhone Air.<\/p>\n

They show a photo of what is claimed to be a Chinese warranty leaflet for the phone showing this name. Although it may well be fake, there is one reason to give it perhaps a little credence \u2026<\/p>\n

We\u2019re expecting Apple to announce four iPhones today:<\/p>\n

iPhone 17 <\/p>\n

iPhone 17 Air<\/p>\n

iPhone 17 Pro<\/p>\n

iPhone 17 Pro Max<\/p>\n

However, leaker DuanRui<\/a> shows what is claimed to be a warranty card showing the name of the new thinnest iPhone as simply the iPhone Air.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not uncommon for fake documents to be doing the rounds shortly before a new product launch. However, there is one possible reason to believe it could be true: the iPhone Fold.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re awaiting next year\u2019s launch of a folding phone whose name is so far expected to simply be the iPhone Fold. If Apple omits a number from that, then perhaps it would also do the same with the Air?<\/p>\n

Either way, we won\u2019t have long to find out.<\/p>\n
