After playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins the past two seasons, veteran defenseman Brogan Rafferty has signed a two-year contract with the Vaxjo Lakers of the Swedish Hockey League.<\/p>\n
Rafferty, 30, appeared in 114 games for the Griffins over the past two seasons, tallying 10 goals and 48 points.<\/p>\n
The Detroit Red Wings signed Rafferty to a two-year, two-way contract in 2023 and recalled him several times when they needed a seventh defenseman just in case, but he did not appear in a game for them.<\/p>\n
Rafferty played for four AHL teams over the past six seasons while appearing in three NHL games for the Vancouver Canucks.<\/p>\n
