\n\tMore big stars are lending their voices to Audible<\/a>\u2019s seven-part audiobook adaptation of J.K. Rowling\u2019s \u201cHarry Potter<\/a>\u201d books.<\/p>\n

\n\tAudible and Rowling\u2019s Pottermore Publishing announced additional casting for the ensemble of more than 200 actors in \u201cHarry Potter: The Full Cast Audio Editions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThose joining the cast in several fan-favorite roles include: Kit Harington as Professor Lockhart; Keira Knightley as Professor Umbridge; Iwan Rheon as Professor Lupin; Ruth Wilson as Bellatrix Lestrange; Ambika Mod as Nymphadora Tonks; Leo Woodall as Bill Weasley; Simon Pegg as Arthur Weasley; James McAvoy as Mad-Eye Moody; Gemma Whelan as Professor Sprout; and Matt Berry as Sir Cadogan.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement, James McAvoy said: \u201cI am absolutely thrilled to bring the fiercely determined Mad-Eye Moody to life in these dynamic audio editions from Pottermore and Audible. He\u2019s a layered character, constantly shifting between battle-hardened intensity and unexpected moments of wisdom. Capturing his commanding presence was incredibly fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first audiobook, \u201cHarry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone,\u201d is scheduled to be released on Nov. 4, 2025, exclusively on Audible, with each of the remaining six English-language audiobooks releasing monthly worldwide. <\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s the third batch of casting announced for \u201cHarry Potter: The Full Cast Audio Editions.\u201d<\/a> The latest group will join Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall, and Cush Jumbo as the narrator. Last week, Audible and Pottermore announced<\/a> Mark Addy as Hagrid, Alex Hassell as Lucius Malfoy, Daniel Mays as Dobby, and Sara and Avni Deshmukh as the Patil Twins.<\/p>\n

\n\tYoung actors Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester and Arabella Stanton will play Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger respectively in audiobooks 1-3. (Stanton is also playing Hermione in HBO\u2019s \u201cHarry Potter\u201d TV series, which is\u00a0currently in production<\/a>\u00a0in the U.K.) Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan and Nina Barker-Francis will assume the same roles (Harry, Ron, and Hermione respectively) in audiobooks 4-7.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional casting for the Harry Potter audiobooks will be announced this fall, the companies said.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing \u201cSorcerer\u2019s Stone\u201d in November, Audible\u2019s release schedule for the rest of the series is as follows: \u201cHarry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,\u201d Dec. 16, 2025; \u201cHarry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,\u201d Jan. 13, 2026; \u201cHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,\u201d Feb. 10, 2026; \u201cHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,\u201d March 10, 2026; \u201cHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,\u201d April 14, 2026; and \u201cHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,\u201d May 12, 2026.
