From the mind of Greg Nicotero, special effects legend and executive producer of \u201cThe Walking Dead\u201d and \u201cCreepshow,\u201d the horror competition series \u201cGuts & Glory\u201d had been set to premiere on Shudder yesterday, but Bloody Disgusting has learned that the series will now premiere closer to Halloween. Expect the first two episodes on October 14 on Shudder.<\/p>\n

The new series will be a part of the streamer\u2019s epic Season of Screams<\/a> programming event which features a supersized lineup of new film releases, series, specials and live watch parties on Shudder TV. New episodes of \u201cGuts & Glory\u201d will roll out weekly on Tuesdays through the season\u2019s two-episode finale, airing Tuesday, November 4.\u202f\u202f\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n

Greg Nicotero serves as host and showrunner of the series, which he describes as \u201cif \u2018Survivor\u2018 and\u00a0The Blair Witch Project\u00a0had a baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGuts &\u202f Glory\u201d\u202fflips the script on the traditional competition show \u2013 thrusting players into an immersive horror experience full of unexpected,\u202fgenre-themed challenges.<\/p>\n

The new series, which features an integrated sponsorship by Hyundai, blends the intensity of a horror film with the pressure of a\u202freality show\u202fsurvival game,\u202fconfronting the contestants\u2019 fears, skill and intellect\u202fin various scenarios. <\/p>\n

Players must survive the night or be eliminated in ways they never saw coming.\u200b\u202f\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The series \u202fis an AMC\u202fStudios production. Executive producers include series showrunner Nicotero and Brian Witten from Monster Agency Productions, Chris Wagner from White Label, and Andrew Molina from Salaryman. Jeffrey F. January serves as co-executive producer.\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/p>\n
