As AFROTECH\u2122<\/a> previously told you, Ruben Harris (CEO) and Timur Meyster (chief product officer) are the co-founders<\/a> of Career Karma, a platform launched in 2018 to help people find opportunities in the tech industry. Artur Meyster, a co-founder and chief technology officer,\u00a0announced<\/a> in 2024 he was\u00a0stepping down.<\/p>\n According to<\/a> its website, Career Karma provides users with information on roles that align with their career trajectory, and then they receive personalized coaching and are matched to top boot camps based on financial need, pace of learning, and other factors. Harris wrote<\/a> in a LinkedIn post that the platform has already helped millions and aims to reach 1 billion users over 10 years.<\/p>\n Now, Career Karma has been acquired by Climb Credit, a student payment platform, according to<\/a> a press release.\u00a0The intention behind the acquisition is to improve discovery tools for students, personalize support as students enroll, and create overall greater efficiency for learners and the schools serving them. As for schools, the acquisition is set to offer them better \u201cenrollment outcomes through 1:1 advising from Career Karma advisors\u201d and more \u201cqualified, better-matched prospective students with insights on their financial readiness,\u201d and more.<\/p>\n Additionally, TripleTen, an online coding boot camp for career changers, will join as a partner.<\/p>\n \u201cFor over a decade, Climb has worked to remove financial, informational, and motivational barriers to career education,\u201d Casey Powers, CEO of Climb Credit, said in a press release. \u201cThis acquisition isn\u2019t just about scaling \u2014 it\u2019s about impact. We\u2019re building a platform that serves students across many different industries, from healthcare to the skilled trades, reflecting the diverse opportunities learners are pursuing today. Together, we\u2019re helping learners not only finance their education but confidently choose the right path for their future.\u201d<\/p>\n Harris describes the acquisition as a \u201cmilestone\u201d and mentions that the focus will now be on OutRival, which was created by the Career Karma founders.
