Carlos Alcaraz continued his stunning season at the US Open, where he claimed his second Grand Slam title of 2025.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz<\/a> is now a six-time Grand Slam champion, while the Spaniard boasts 23 ATP Tour<\/a> titles in his glittering career so far.<\/p>\n

Seven of those titles have arrived this season alone, with his success starting back in Rotterdam in February.<\/p>\n

Thanks to his continued success, Alcaraz has surpassed $50million in prize money<\/a> for his career, with that figure set to grow rapidly in the years to come.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen just who can stop his momentum right now, with Alcaraz also returning to top spot in the world rankings after his run in New York.<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner has, of course, managed to slow down such momentum, notably beating the Spaniard in the Wimbledon final.<\/p>\n

But he represents just one of six players to defeat Alcaraz this season, with the new US Open champion currently boasting a 2025 win-loss record of 61-6.<\/p>\n

The Wimbledon defeat to Sinner represents his most recent loss, arriving long after Holger Rune beat Alcaraz in the Barcelona Open final.<\/p>\n

Before that, David Goffin shocked him in his first match at the Miami Open, with Jack Draper doing the same in the semifinals of Indian Wells.<\/p>\n

Jiri Lehecka is also on the list of major upsets, knocking him out of the Qatar Open at the quarterfinal stage.<\/p>\n

And in his first tournament of the 2025 season, Alcaraz fell in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open at the hands of Novak Djokovic.<\/p>\n

In stark contrast, Sinner has been a constant victim of the Spanish star this season, a trend that continued at the US Open.<\/p>\n

Sinner has a real Alcaraz problem<\/a>, with four of his five losses in 2025 arriving against his main rival, while the other came against Alexander Bublik.<\/p>\n

The Kazakh ace shocked him in Halle, while Alcaraz won their meetings at Roland Garros, Rome, Cincinnati and New York.<\/p>\n

But the Italian also has a hugely impressive win-loss record this season, with 37 wins accompanying those five defeats.<\/p>\n

And even though six players have managed to take something from the new world number one, Sinner remains the biggest threat to his current dominance.<\/p>\n

And that means that another ATP player should now be desperate to step up and mount a real challenge against the duo.<\/p>\n
