Late Show<\/a> host Stephen Colbert<\/a> on Tuesday night tore into Republican lawmakers for standing by President Donald Trump<\/a> even after damaging new revelations<\/a> from the estate of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump this summer sued the Wall Street Journal<\/a> for reporting on a bizarre and cryptic birthday message<\/a> to Epstein in 2003, when the two were close friends, written inside the doodled torso of a woman.<\/p>\n

Trump said he never wrote it. Then, this week,\u00a0Epstein\u2019s estate released the \u201cbirthday book,\u201d which includes that message and ones from other friends \u2015 but most Republicans are either calling it a fake or simply ignoring it.<\/p>\n

Colbert rolled a clip of House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t seen it,\u201d said Jordan. \u201cDon\u2019t buy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colbert fired back with a biting reminder from Jordan\u2019s past.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Jim Jordan didn\u2019t see it, it didn\u2019t happen \u2015 especially not in the showers at Ohio State,\u201d he said, then encouraged his audience: \u201cGoogle it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan, a former assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University, has been\u00a0accused of ignoring molestation allegations<\/a> against the team\u2019s doctor.<\/p>\n

Jordan has denied those accusations, which have been corroborated by several witnesses.<\/p>\n

\u201cI considered Jim Jordan a friend,\u201d former wrestler Mike DiSabato said in 2018<\/a>. \u201cBut at the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesn\u2019t know what was going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
