On Thursday, Sept. 11, PEOPLE confirmed that the couple had called off their engagement<\/a>. A source told PEOPLE it was a “mutual decision, and wasn\u2019t an easy one, but it was made with love and a deep respect for one another.”<\/p>\n Fans were shocked by the breakup, which came nearly a year after White, 39, popped the question<\/a> to Dobrev, 36, in New York City. Since then, a video<\/a> posted on TikTok by Dobrev on Sept. 6 has since gained traction and circulated among fans.<\/p>\n In the video, the actress mouthed along to a sassy audio while dressed casually in a Nike sweatshirt and a bare face.<\/p>\n “How do you sleep at night knowing people don’t like you? With no underwear, in case they wanna kiss my ass,” the audio said. “What’s your advice for women trying to fix their man?
