Cobre Panama announced the launch of the second phase of its\u00a0Cobre Emprende program, an initiative that seeks to empower small businesses and which, in this new phase, will benefit more than\u00a0600 entrepreneurs\u00a0with seed capital averaging $5,000.\u00a0 This new phase is possible thanks to the\u00a0resources generated by the sale of copper concentrate, which are now being transformed into real opportunities for Panamanians.\u00a0 The call is aimed at those who participated in the first phase, where more than\u00a0600\u00a0men and women completed\u00a032 hours of training in business planning, financial management, digital marketing, and legal formalization.<\/p>\n
In this initial phase, entrepreneurs from\u00a0Donoso, Omar Torrijos Herrera, La Pintada, San Miguelito, Pedregal, and El Chorrillo\u00a0were trained, and they now have the opportunity to take the next step in consolidating their projects.\u00a0 To access\u00a0seed capital, certified participants must submit a\u00a0business development plan\u00a0, which will be evaluated by a specialized committee.\u00a0 This support will allow them to launch their ideas and turn them into sustainable projects that generate income, stability, and a better future for their families, as the funds received can be used to purchase fixed assets, raw materials, and supplies included in their business plans.\u00a0 Maru G\u00e1lvez, Public Relations Manager for Cobre Panam\u00e1, said:\u00a0\u201cFor many of these entrepreneurs, this seed capital represents a turning point in their lives.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s support that will allow them to strengthen their businesses and ensure a better future for their families, demonstrating that copper translates into tangible benefits.\u201d\u00a0 The announcement was made during Cobre Panama\u2019s participation in Capital Financiero\u2019s \u201cTechnology and New Business\u201d\u00a0forum, where the progress and results of this initiative were presented, which is already consolidating as a tangible benefit for the country\u2019s development.\u00a0 Throughout the program, participants have developed ideas in key sectors for community development, such as\u00a0bakery, gastronomy, crafts, technology, local tourism, services, and fashion.\u00a0 With this new phase, Cobre Panam\u00e1 reaffirms its commitment to\u00a0transforming mineral resources into sustainable opportunities\u00a0that strengthen entrepreneurship, innovation, and local progress.<\/p>\n
