Participants can jog or walk a mile to support the cause of their choosing.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRegistration for the event will begin at 9 a.m. at the EagleBank Arena South Entrance. Free parking is available in Lot A.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Mason Mile begins at 10 a.m. and will feature a scenic route around the George Mason University Campus. Men&#8217;s basketball student-athletes will be positioned throughout the route with water, snacks and raffle tickets to greet participants on their journey.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nAt the Mason Mile&#8217;s conclusion, participants can enjoy a DJ, food trucks, snacks and be entered to win one of a number of prizes. The prizes will include electronics, team-issued gear and more.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nFollowing the Mile&#8217;s conclusion, fans can enter EagleBank Arena at the South Entrance to watch the team&#8217;s open practice, beginning at approximately 11:30 a.m. Following the Green &amp; Gold scrimmage, the program&#8217;s student-athletes will sign autographs for all interested attendees.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nABOUT THE MASON MILE<br \/>\nGeorge Mason men&#8217;s basketball head coach <a href=\"https:\/\/gomason.com\/sports\/mens-basketball\/roster\/coaches\/tony-skinn\/1638\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1638\" target=\"_blank\">Tony Skinn<\/a> (&#8217;06) created the Mason Mile in 2023 as a way to unite the campus and greater DMV community around the start of college basketball season.
