Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven\u2019t even set a date yet, but their wedding guest list<\/a> is already making headlines. Over the past year, insiders have floated names like Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, and Patrick and Brittany Mahomes. Reports this month added another wrinkle: Kelce is apparently lobbying for a blowout bash<\/a> while Swift is eyeing something smaller at her Rhode Island estate<\/a>. In other words, the invites are tight \u2014 and even Kelce\u2019s own circle knows it.<\/p>\n

On the September 12 episode of Pardon My Take, comedian Andrew Santino recalled golfing with Kelce back in April or May, when the NFL star casually mentioned he was planning to propose to Swift. The engagement went public on August 26, and Santino FaceTimed to congratulate his friend. But when it comes to the wedding itself? He isn\u2019t holding his breath.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got a lot of dogs from Ohio that he\u2019s loyal to,\u201d Santino said, per Us Weekly<\/a>. \u201cWe met later in life \u2026 I\u2019m an adult friend. I don\u2019t think I got that invite. You know she\u2019s controlling that guest list.\u201d He even joked his dad might have a better shot at an invite.<\/p>\n

The honesty may sting, but it checks out. Swift said on her New Heights debut<\/a> that Kelce\u2019s loyalty to his childhood crew was a \u201chuge green flag.\u201d She\u2019s built the same kind of circle herself, staying close with high school best friend Abigail Anderson and longtime fixtures Selena Gomez and Ashley Avignone.<\/p>\n

So yes, Santino\u2019s brutal take might read as self-deprecating, but it highlights the point. Swift and Kelce aren\u2019t filling the room with every celebrity they\u2019ve brushed shoulders with. They\u2019ll be surrounded by the people who\u2019ve seen them through the long haul. For anyone on the fringe \u2014 even famous friends \u2014 that probably means watching from the sidelines.<\/p>\n
