Ben Foster turned a sharp corner.<\/p>\n

The actor, 44, left Hollywood after a decade to build a new life in Nashville, Tennessee.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lived in L.A. for, we\u2019ll call it 12 years. I lived in New York for about the same,\u201d Foster told\u00a0The Hollywood Reporter\u00a0<\/a>on Wednesday. \u201c[My ex-wife,\u00a0Laura Prepon, and I] had two children and my parents are very close with my children. They\u2019ve moved close to Nashville.\u201d<\/p>\n

Foster came to the realization of where he wanted to relocate a few years back.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the pandemic, I had a cognition that I didn\u2019t need to live on either coast, quite frankly,\u201d he explained. \u201cI love horses and I ride. I love live music. I dig country music. There\u2019s been a shift from both coasts and I\u2019ve found that it\u2019s gentler for me, at least, to hub there. Nashville\u00a0is just a different way. I\u2019m enjoying it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Foster and Prepon, 45, first met as teenagers and were\u00a0friends with Danny Masterson<\/a>\u00a0for several years. The pair struck up a romance in July 2016 and got engaged in October of that year. <\/p>\n

Foster and Prepon tied the knot in May 2018.<\/p>\n

The \u201cThat \u201970s Show\u201d star shared the news of their union on Instagram the following month.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust Married! Thank you for all the love and support. Wishing all of us the good stuff!\u201d Prepon captioned a wedding picture<\/a>\u00a0with Foster in June 2018.<\/p>\n

The two went on to welcome daughter, Ella, 8, in 2017 and a son, born in 2020, whose name they have not made public. <\/p>\n

By September 2024, Foster had filed for divorce<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The actor\u00a0filed on Sept. 9<\/a>, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the reason for the breakdown in their marriage. He also asked the court to\u00a0uphold the prenuptial agreement<\/a>\u00a0they signed before their wedding.<\/p>\n

In December, Prepon accused her ex of \u201calcohol abuse.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

At the time, the former flames were fighting over the custody of their kids.<\/p>\n

Foster requested that the court set up a temporary custody schedule, claiming he and Prepon couldn\u2019t see eye to eye.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Ben] has personally attempted to reach a resolution with [Laura] in setting a parenting plan schedule that affords each with substantive parenting time, but all efforts have been unsuccessful,\u201d the documents,\u00a0per In Touch<\/a>, read.<\/p>\n

Prepon then responded to her ex\u2019s court filing, slamming his alleged alcohol use and demanding the court order Foster not to drink when he\u2019s around the children, per the outlet.<\/p>\n

In the documents, the \u201cGirl on the Train\u201d actress shared her concern over their children staying with their dad in his high-rise apartment complex, claiming he often \u201cday drinks\u201d and has an alleged \u201clongstanding history of alcohol abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prepon claimed that at one point in their relationship, Foster \u201cbecame so inebriated\u201d after their daughter was born that he locked himself out of their New York apartment. She alleged she found him sleeping on their doorstep in his underwear.<\/p>\n

Prepon also claimed that the \u201cAlpha Dog\u201d alum seems to \u201calways have a cup or thermos\u201d on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was discovered through [Ben\u2019s] leaving these thermoses or cups around the house that they contained coffee and whiskey,\u201d the documents continued.<\/p>\n

The \u201cOrange Is the New Black\u201d vet alleged Foster gets shaky hands in the morning and often requests several \u201cairplane bottles\u201d of booze when he flys.<\/p>\n

Prepon told the court that she\u2019s the primary children\u2019s caretaker, claiming Foster has accused her of \u201ccreative sabotage\u201d when she\u2019s tried to discuss important topics with him.<\/p>\n

The star demanded Foster be prohibited from consuming alcohol before and during his time with the kids, or that a supervisor be present during their visitation.<\/p>\n

However, Foster\u2019s lawyer, Rose Palermo, told The Post: \u201cLaura Prepon\u2019s filing is the definition of falsehood and a disturbing fiction. Her actions will continue to harm the children who have always been Ben\u2019s first priority.\u201d<\/p>\n

The divorce\u00a0was settled in April.<\/p>\n

Prepon and Foster agreed to uphold their prenuptial agreement and keep their respective vehicles.<\/p>\n

According to the docs, Prepon is now the primary household for the kids. The coparents will, however, split custody during the week.<\/p>\n
