Former five-star recruit Cam Reddish<\/a> has made a decision on the next step in his basketball journey \u2014 and it will take him overseas.<\/p>\n

According to a report from EuroHoops.net, the former Blue Devil swingman has signed with BC \u0160iauliai in Lithuania for the upcoming season. The move marks the next chapter in Reddish’s career after spending parts of six seasons in the NBA with four different franchises.<\/p>\n

Reddish entered the league as the 10th overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, selected by the Atlanta Hawks<\/a>, before being traded to the New York Knicks<\/a> and later the Portland Trail Blazers<\/a>. He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> in 2023 and appeared in 33 games across two seasons, averaging 2.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 0.7 assists, and 0.3 blocks per contest. He was waived in late March as part of the Lakers’ flurry of trade deadline moves.<\/p>\n

Over his 254-game NBA career, the 6-foot-8 forward posted averages of 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists while shooting 39.8 percent from the floor and 32.2 percent from beyond the arc. His most productive season came in 2021\u201322 with Atlanta, where he averaged 11.9 points per game.<\/p>\n

Before turning pro, Reddish was once ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2018 class before settling as a consensus top-10 recruit. He joined fellow blue-chip recruits RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson<\/a> to form one of the most hyped Duke<\/a> recruiting classes in program history, leading the Blue Devils to a 32-6 record and an Elite Eight appearance. As a freshman, the Norristown (Pa.) native averaged 13.5 points while shooting 33 percent from three and earned honorable mention All-ACC honors. \u00a0One of his most memorable performances came during league play at Florida State<\/a> when he knocked down a game winning three-pointer as time expired to give Duke an 80-78 win, capping off a 23 point night. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Now 26, Reddish will suit up for a team led by another ACC alumnus and NBA veteran, Darius Songaila. The former Wake Forest<\/a> star spent more than a decade as a pro \u2014 including five seasons in the NBA \u2014 before moving into coaching, where he worked as an assistant under Gregg Popovich with the San Antonio Spurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Songaila believes the former Blue Devil still has plenty of untapped potential<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“It’s hard to say why his NBA path stopped at this point. I’ve worked with many talented players who couldn’t establish themselves there \u2014 a lot of factors play a role,” Songaila said. “His athleticism and physique are definitely top-level. I have no doubt he’ll be able to cover several positions for us. European basketball is getting faster and faster, and we believe he’ll fit in well.”<\/p>\n

Reddish’s deal reportedly includes an out clause should an NBA or EuroLeague team express interest during the season, giving him a path back to the game’s highest levels if the opportunity arises.<\/p>\n
