Stan Wawrinka<\/a> will play for ATP Challenger Tour history on Sunday in Rennes.<\/p>\n The Swiss star will face top seed Hugo Gaston<\/a> for the Open Blot Rennes<\/a> trophy. If Wawrinka wins, he will become the oldest ATP Challenger Tour champion ever at 40 years, five months.<\/p>\n The former No. 3 player in the PIF ATP Rankings is already the second-oldest Challenger finalist in history, only behind Ivo Karlovic<\/a> (40 years, eight months). The oldest Challenger champion is Karlovic, who was 39 years, seven months when he emerged victorious in 2018 in Calgary.<\/p>\n This would also mark Wawrinka’s first hard-court title at any level since he triumphed at the 2016 US Open<\/a>. The stream can also be seen below.<\/p>\n Wawrinka reached the final with a 7-6(3), 6-3 victory against Patrick Zahraj<\/a>.<\/p>\n Only three players aged 40 and older have made an ATP Challenger Tour final, and Wawrinka has done it twice this year.
