Owners of the Ultraloq Bolt NFC have been able to do that since the smart lock launched in June 2025. Now, a software update brings the same convenient feature to Android smartphone users (but apparently not Android smart watch wearers).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B0DLG5DB9D?tag=pcworld02-20&amp;asc_refurl=https:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/2905743\/android-smartphones-can-now-tap-to-unlock-the-ultraloq-bolt-nfc.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-subtag=\"2-1-2905743-1-0-0-0-0\" data-domain-name=\"amazon\" target=\"_blank\">Ultraloq Bolt NFC<\/a> ($200) also has a numeric PIN pad arranged in a semi-circle around a conventional key cylinder, but it doesn\u2019t have a fingerprint reader (you will find that feature on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/2590822\/u-tec-ultraloq-bolt-fingerprint-matter-edition-smart-lock-review.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bolt Fingerprint Matter<\/a> smart lock we reviewed in January, but that lock doesn\u2019t support near-field communications).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-wp-class--hide=\"state.isContentHidden\" data-wp-class--show=\"state.isContentVisible\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on-async--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Ultraloq-Bolt-NFC-keyfob.jpeg\" alt=\"Ultraloq Bolt NFC keyfob\" class=\"wp-image-2905751\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Ultraloq Bolt NFC can also be opened with an NFC card or, as shown here, with an NFC key fob.<\/p>\n<p class=\"imageCredit\">Ultraloq<\/p>\n<p>The Bolt NFC connects directly to your Wi-Fi network, eliminating the need for a bridge.
