Bayern Munich director of sport Max Eberl has been discussing Chelsea\u2019s Club World Cup triumph.<\/p>\n

Bayern take on Chelsea<\/a> in the Champions League<\/a> this Wednesday, and Eberl has shared whether he thinks the Blues actually deserved to win the Club World Cup<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Enzo Maresca<\/a>\u2018s men beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final to win the trophy and become world champions.<\/p>\n

Chelsea could play in the next Club World Cup<\/a> as FIFA weigh up whether to invite them back to the tournament following their success in the summer.<\/p>\n

Chelsea were not the favourites to win the Club World Cup and their triumph in the competition surprised many.<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, for Eberl, Chelsea were worthy winners of the trophy, and the Bayern director is now looking forward to watching his club go up against them later this week.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited about Wednesday\u2019s match,\u201d the 51-year-old told Bild<\/a>. \u201cI think Chelsea deserved to win the final, with their incredible energy. They haven\u2019t gotten any worse since then. <\/p>\n

\u201cOn the contrary, they will of course have become even more stable. But this energy is precisely our game, too. That\u2019s why I believe a very, very exciting, high-quality match awaits us on Wednesday.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s Club World Cup success has been great for the club on and off the pitch. In the summer, it was claimed that the status of world champions had made Chelsea a more appealing destination<\/a> for players.<\/p>\n

Glory in the US has not raised expectations at Stamford Bridge<\/a>, though. It is believed that top four is still the aim for Chelsea<\/a> this season. <\/p>\n

Eberl has also spoken about Nicolas Jackson<\/a>, who joined Bayern from Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had other offers, even for a permanent transfer,\u201d the former Bayern player said, as he discussed Jackson\u2019s loan move to the Allianz Arena.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old will be allowed to play against Chelsea on Wednesday, with UEFA\u2019s loan rules not being the same as the Premier League<\/a>\u2018s.<\/p>\n

Jackson<\/a> made his Bayern debut over the weekend, helping the Bundesliga champions to beat Hamburg 5-0.<\/p>\n

Harry Kane has discussed Jackson<\/a>, too, describing his new teammate as a \u201cgreat addition\u201d to Vincent Kompany\u2019s squad.
