In exchange, 26 of the new apartments would be set aside for rent at below market rates.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/la.urbanize.city\/tags\/tighe-architecture\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tighe Architecture<\/a> is designing 1931 Wilshire, taking over from an earlier vision for the site drafted by AC Martin.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The contemporary building design is guided by a clear hierarchy that begins at the street and scales to the skyline,&#8221; states <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smgov.net\/departments\/pcd\/agendas\/Architectural-Review-Board\/2025\/20250915\/s20250915-4Aa.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a staff report<\/a>. &#8220;At the ground level, the building fa\u00e7ade is organized by a gridded fenestration system that creates a base of depth, rhythm, and texture.
