{"id":160131,"date":"2025-09-16T05:19:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T05:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/160131\/"},"modified":"2025-09-16T05:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T05:19:10","slug":"molly-qerim-leaving-espn-first-take-at-the-end-of-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/160131\/","title":{"rendered":"Molly Qerim leaving ESPN, &#8216;First Take&#8217; at the end of year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to reports, Molly Qerim, the longtime host of ESPN\u2019s First Take, is in her final months with the network.<\/p>\n<p>Austin Karp of Sports Business Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/09\/15\/sources-molly-qerim-moving-on-from-espn-first-take\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">reported on Monday night<\/a> that Qerim is planning on leaving ESPN at the end of 2025. He also detailed that the network offered Qerim a new contract but she opted to leave.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMolly Qerim, the host of ESPN\u2019s \u2018First Take\u2019 since 2015, is leaving the network at the end of the year, sources tell SBJ,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/09\/15\/sources-molly-qerim-moving-on-from-espn-first-take\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Karp reported<\/a>. \u201cQerim first started at ESPN in 2006 working on digital\/mobile efforts before moving over to the news team in 2008. Sources tell SBJ that ESPN offered Qerim a contract, but she choose to move on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Qerim, a Connecticut native and UConn graduate, has had many different roles in her time at ESPN. Before becoming the host of First Take, she was an interactive host of College Football Live and a reporter for Fantasy Football Now.<\/p>\n<p>For just over 10 years, Qerim has been the host of First Take.
