This collaboration aims to explore the co-development of hybrid quantum computing technologies to support government laboratories and academics pursuing quantum computing R&D in India. The partnership aims to co-develop indigenous cryogenic electronics and superconducting quantum hardware, and secure access to advanced processor fabrication. QuantWare will contribute its expertise in superconducting quantum processors, including its VIO 3D scaling architecture. C-DAC is the nodal agency for India's ChipIN initiative, and is engaged in the indigenous development of Quantum Processing Units (QPUs), cryogenic electronics, and control hardware as part of its Hybrid HPC-Quantum Mission. The partnership is positioned as a step toward building a robust quantum computing ecosystem in India, aligned with the visions of the ChipIN program and India's National Quantum Mission (NQM). Shri. E. Magesh, Director General of C-DAC, noted that the collaboration will drive advancements in electronics and IT, reinforcing India's position in next-generation technologies. Matt Rijlaarsdam, CEO of QuantWare, commented that by combining C-DAC's expertise in HPC with QuantWare\u2019s quantum processors, the companies can co-develop hybrid computing systems to support national ambitions.
