Why? Because to some people, cilantro tastes like soap \u2014 and there\u2019s a scientific reason for it.<\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t stand the taste of cilantro, your genes may be to blame. But there\u2019s an important catch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnlike other fixed genetic traits, like eye or hair color, your cilantro preference can be changed by environmental factors,\u201d Dr. Vyas says.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s right.
