CNN’s Erin Burnett provided a startling update on the escalating tensions between U.S. President Donald Trump<\/a> and Ukraine<\/a>, reporting a “massive attack” with 17 explosions in under 20 minutes and shedding light on a conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.<\/p>\n

Burnett revealed that during the call<\/a>, Trump allegedly questioned Zelensky about the possibility of striking Moscow and St Petersburg, to which Zelensky reportedly answered: “Absolutely. We can if you give us the weapons.”<\/p>\n

Despite Trump’s public stance against targeting Moscow, Burnett highlighted, “Ok, so that’s what he is saying publicly but privately, of course, could be a different matter.<\/a><\/p>\n

“Sources have told CNN News that despite Trump’s public comments, he has not ruled out giving Zelensky new offensive weapons. The call also reportedly detailed Trump’s desire to make Russia<\/a> she continued.<\/p>\n

The discussion further exposed Trump’s desire for Russia<\/a> to “feel the pain” and showcased how the Kremlin is responding to the president’s growing exasperation.<\/p>\n

According to Burnett, the Russian response has been aggressive, “going straight for the jugular” and “threatening nuclear retaliation.”<\/p>\n

She referred to the situation as “nuclear war” on air, adding, “And when it comes to Trump’s threat to Putin, that Putin has 50 days to end the war or face massive sanctions, well, that is being met with a public shrug in Russia<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The program spotlighted a social media statement from Russian politician Dmitry Medvedev, who declared that “Russia<\/a> didn’t care” about Trump’s “theatrical ultimatum”.<\/p>\n

When pressed on why Russia<\/a> should be alarmed and what might shift in the next 50 days, Trump retorted: “A lot of opinions change very rapidly. It might not be 50 days, it might be much sooner than 50 days.”<\/p>\n

Back at the news desk, Erin pointed out that “so far, Trump has not followed his words with actions” following his earlier threats to impose sanctions, noting that “nothing ever happened”.<\/p>\n

The correspondent voiced concern for the potential loss of human life, remarking: “Think about how many thousands of people will die in the next 50 days, if 50 days is a real deadline.”<\/p>\n

This follows a recent breaking news segment on Monday when Fox News interrupted its broadcast to cover Trump issuing a grave warning to Russia<\/a> over its conflict with Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking from the White House, Trump conveyed his profound discontent with Russia<\/a> and his disillusionment with President Vladimir Putin<\/a>. He warned that unless a ceasefire with Ukraine<\/a> is reached within 50 days, the U.S. would implement “very severe” secondary tariffs of 100%.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the critical nature of the situation, he stated, “It’s all talk until missiles go into Kyiv,” and stressed that the hostilities “has got to stop.”<\/p>\n
