James Wan<\/a> of Atomic Monster is producing the horror pic \u2014 in association with Spin a Black Yarn for Universal Pictures \u2014 whose high-profile cast includes Jessica Chastain,\u00a0Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark\u00a0and Dichen Lachman. Atomic is home to some of the most successful horror and franchises in recent memory, including The Conjuring, Insidious and Saw (Wan\u2019s genre label is part of the Blumhouse horror empire). The screenplay is from WGA award winner Nathan Elston, writer for the Emmy-winning sensation Succession.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\tThe Universal release is adapted from the New York Times bestselling novel Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman. It follows a terrifying,\u00a0supernatural trip into the darkening world of a young girl as her family, and their home, are haunted by a sinister entity determined to take up residence inside her. But first, the entity needs to persuade her to let it in.<\/p>\n
