ABC\u2019s\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel<\/a>\u00a0insinuated Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk\u2019s alleged assassin was a member of the \u201cMAGA gang\u201d while mocking President Donald Trump\u2019s response to his death during his show Monday night.<\/p>\n

The \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live\u201d host brought up the matter during his monologue and claimed right-wing critics were hitting \u201cnew lows\u201d trying to frame the suspect, 22-year-old Utah native Tyler Robinson<\/a>, as someone who wasn\u2019t \u201cMAGA.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n

He went on to mock Trump\u2019s responses, criticizing the White House for flying US flags at half-staff and Trump for discussing ballroom construction when asked his thoughts days later.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not how an adult grieves the murder of somebody he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish, OK?\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s comments came one day after both FBI officials and Utah Gov. Spencer Cox<\/a> said that Robinson\u00a0held a \u201cleftist ideology\u201d\u00a0and was increasingly radicalized in recent years.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fairly obvious this was an ideologically motivated attack,\u201d FBI Deputy Director\u00a0Dan Bongino<\/a> told Fox News\u00a0on Monday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A source familiar with the investigation also told Fox News Digital that the\u00a0FBI is investigating leftist groups\u00a0in Utah to see if they had any connection to the alleged shooter.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, authorities released new details about Robinson during a press conference. <\/p>\n

Law enforcement revealed text messages between Robinson and his roommate and romantic partner, who is a transgender woman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

ABC\u2019s\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel claims that Tyler Robinson, 22, the alleged assassin in the Charlie Kirk shooting, was part of the \u201cMAGA gang\u201d as he mocked President Donald Trump\u2019s response to Kirk\u2019s death. Disney<\/p>\n

\u201cI had enough of his [Kirk] hatred. Some hate can\u2019t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on,\u201d Robinson messaged his roommate<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fox News Digital\u00a0reached out to ABC for comment.<\/p>\n

After Kirk was shot and killed during a campus event at Utah Valley University last week, Kimmel released a statement mourning the conservative activist.<\/p>\n

Kimmel said that right-wing critics are trying to picture Robinson as someone who isn\u2019t part of the \u201cMAGA\u201d crowd. AP<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?\u201d\u00a0Kimmel wrote\u00a0on Instagram. <\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel previously blasted Trump\u2019s response\u00a0to Kirk\u2019s death after he blamed leftist rhetoric for the shooting Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s comments came a day after Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, along with federal authorities, claimed Robinson had become increasingly radicalized toward the far-left in recent years before he planned the assassination attack on Kirk. AP<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all these terrible things happening, you would think that our president would at least make an attempt to bring us together, but he didn\u2019t. President Obama did. President Biden did. Presidents Bush and Clinton did. President Trump did not. Instead, he blamed Democrats for their rhetoric,\u201d Kimmel said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cThe man who told a crowd of supporters that maybe the Second Amendment people should do something about Clinton. The man who said he wouldn\u2019t mind if someone shot through the fake news media.
