Ahead of Bayern Munich\u2019s Champions League clash with Chelsea FC, things were busy on the training ground. With the exception of players with long-term injuries like Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Hiroki It\u014d, plus recently banged up Rapha\u00ebl Guerreiro, the Bavarians are not dealing with any other ailments.<\/p>\n

Davies getting closer to return<\/p>\n

According to a report from Bild (via @iMiaSanMia<\/a>), Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies is getting very close to a return to training:<\/p>\n

Alphonso Davies trained today under the supervision of assistant coach Floribert N\u2019Galula. The latter usually oversees the transition from rehab to team training, which is an indication that Davies is getting closer to being re-integrated with the team. Davies seems lively again, setting a good pace in his sprints. He\u2019s also been training with the ball for a month.<\/p>\n

Hiroki It\u014d is making progress, too, per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia<\/a>):<\/p>\n

Hiroki It\u014d worked with new rehab coach Benjamin Sommer today. Bayern are not taking any risks with the Japanese defender and won\u2019t be rushing his comeback.<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich will square off with Chelsea in the Champions League at the Allianz Arena in what will surely be an electric atmosphere.<\/p>\n
