Seattle Storm guard Skylar Diggins believes that her team’s ability to rebound from defeat played\u00a0a crucial role in their Game 2 win over the Las Vegas Aces.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Storm went on a 23-8 run in the final seven minutes of the game, recovering from a 14-point deficit\u00a0to emerge 86-83 victors to force a deciding Game 3 with the Aces.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It was Las Vegas’ first defeat in 17 games, falling one win short of the Los Angeles Sparks’\u00a0WNBA record of 18 consecutive triumphs in the 2001 campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Diggins played her part in the victory, scoring 26 points, which included a clutch mid-range jumper in the final 10 seconds, as well as registering seven assists and two steals.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The seven-time WNBA All-Star credited Seattle’s bounce-back ability, as well as their physicality, to ensure they picked up their first victory in a playoff game since 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“This team hasn’t been beaten in a long time,”\u00a0said Diggins. “We felt like we could because we’ve had success versus them before this year.<\/p>\n
“It was about putting together first of all the start that we wanted and playing with the type of force, physicality.<\/p>\n
“We won the rebounding battle \u2013 that was a big deal for us. And we kind of kept their others in place who have been playing really well coming off the bench.”<\/p>\n
