His vibrant typography work as part of his Untitled Unfinished \u2013 a poster series which sees him publish work that was rejected by clients or uncompleted by choice \u2013 wields colour with finesse, and also lead him to his recent collaboration with creative director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/vassovu?igsh=MWd5MGsxcTBmc2x3eQ%3D%3D\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vasso Vu<\/a> working on Ashnikko\u2019s Smoochie album campaign and ongoing work with rock band Frank Carter &amp; The Rattlesnakes. In all of his projects, colour is a distinct participant in Ben\u2019s compositions, various different hues often taking centre stage. \u201cTravel is a major motivator,\u201d says Ben, \u201cI\u2019m inspired by how different cultures use colour, typography, and visual language in surprising ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"dioi9\">Ben is burning with curiosities with has a buzz for discovery, do he tends to start things off a little chaotic before reducing down to the micro, \u201cLately I\u2019ve been trying to reduce things to their core, doing fewer things, but with more detail and intent.\u201d His Untitled Unfinished series is a testament to this experimental spirit \u2013 it\u2019s a reminder of the role curiosity and excitement take in feeding the creative process. \u201cThose encounters give me that beginner\u2019s mind feeling, like seeing great design for the first time again,\u201d Ben says. \u201cIt\u2019s addictive, you come home buzzing, noticing details you\u2019d normally miss, and wanting to carry that sense of discovery into the next project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A key aspect that defines Ben Wood\u2019s work is its sense of playfulness.
