{"id":165888,"date":"2025-09-18T17:48:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T17:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/165888\/"},"modified":"2025-09-18T17:48:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T17:48:08","slug":"multivitamins-sold-on-amazon-recalled-over-risk-of-serious-injury-or-death-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/165888\/","title":{"rendered":"Multivitamins sold on Amazon recalled over \u2018risk of serious injury or death\u2019 \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A multivitamin sold on Amazon has been recalled &#8220;due to risk of serious injury or death from child poisoning,&#8221; according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Blueroot Health recalled thousands of bottles of its Bariatric Fusion Iron Multivitamins because the &#8220;bottle caps are not child-resistant, posing a risk of deadly poisoning in the contents are swallowed by young children.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpsc.gov\/Recalls\/2025\/Blueroot-Health-Recalls-Bottles-of-Bariatric-Fusion-Iron-Multivitamins-Due-to-Risk-of-Serious-Injury-or-Death-from-Child-Poisoning-Violates-Mandatory-Standard-for-Child-Resistant-Packaging-Manufactured-by-VitaQuest-International\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recall <\/a>involves two types of the dietary supplement bottles, including high ADEK multivitamin capsules and the One Per Day multivitamin capsules. Both have white and orange bottles. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Only bottles with smooth cap tops that lack the &#8216;push down &amp; turn&#8217; embossed lettering are included in this recall,&#8221; the alert states. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone who has the recalled items is being told to &#8220;immediately secure&#8221; them out of sight and reach from children.
