Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have both called it a day on their illustrious careers in recent years. <\/p>\n

Federer played his final match<\/a> at the 2022 Laver Cup, representing Team Europe in doubles alongside Nadal<\/a> against the American duo of Frances Tiafoe<\/a> and Jack Sock. <\/p>\n

The Spaniard, on the other hand, had his last dance in a Davis Cup tie between Spain and the Netherlands in 2024. <\/p>\n

Both legends have stayed around tennis since their professional farewells, and they could be about to take to the courts once again. <\/p>\n

When asked in an interview with CNBC if he would consider starting a \u2018Senior\u2019s Tour\u2019 with Nadal, Federer<\/a> said: \u201cYeah, why not?<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I love Rafa, and I played four hours of tennis the other day here in San Francisco, sorry, and then in L.A. another hour and a half and then before that I\u2019ve been playing a lot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m trying to keep in good shape, and I know that Rafa is also totally open to maybe playing some tennis.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt sounds terrible, \u2018senior\u2019s tennis\u2019 to us, you know, but maybe we can create a tour, like a \u2018Fedal\u2019 tour or something like that. I mean, it would be cool.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I think that\u2019s also one of the reasons I started the Laver Cup is, you know, to shine a light on the past greats of the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had it a little bit of this [a senior\u2019s tour] in tennis, I think it was called the \u2018Champions\u2019 tour\u2019 at the time. It did exist.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there is a lot of appetite for seeing past champions in tennis, so I could maybe look into that as well as Rafa for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roger Federer says the upcoming Laver Cup will be \u2018different\u2019<\/p>\n

Ahead of the Laver Cup, which Federer co-founded, the former Swiss star said the event will feel slightly different this time around with new captains Andre Agassi<\/a> and Yannick Noah. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to feel quite different, actually, because I think they are both extremely thoughtful, Andre and Yannick,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have really high respect for both guys, obviously, for what they accomplished on the court, but also off the court.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, there is a change, you know, for Bjorn and John, but I think that Andre and Yannick are going to be incredible, and they have fantastic captains as well in Pat Rafter and Tim Henman, so I\u2019m really excited to see how it\u2019s going to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
