It was not an easy match mentally. I played a compatriot, a guy I share a Davis Cup team with, so I was a bit nervous, but I stayed in the game and used my chances. I\u2019m really happy with that.\u201d <\/p>\n<p> Bublik is now 14-5 in tour-level matches since the start of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/tournaments\/madrid\/1536\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mutua Madrid Open<\/a> in April. As well as his last-eight run at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/tournaments\/roland-garros\/520\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Roland Garros<\/a>, the 28-year-old\u2019s impressive recent results include an ATP 500 title run on the Halle grass. Having been the World No. 82 as recently as mid-March, Bublik is now up to No. 33 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings. <\/p>\n<p>Seventh seed Comesana earlier brushed past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/roberto-carballes-baena\/cf59\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Roberto Carballes Baena<\/a> 6-1, 6-4 to reach his third ATP Tour quarter-final. The Argentine, who snapped a five-match losing streak by defeating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/marco-trungelliti\/ta29\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marco Trungelliti<\/a> in his opener, is seeded at a tour-level event for the first time.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/juan-manuel-cerundolo\/c0c8\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Juan Manuel Cerundolo<\/a> joined countryman Comesana in the quarter-finals by rallying past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/david-goffin\/gb88\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Goffin<\/a> 5-7, 6-4, 6-1. Their second-round clash was suspended due to rain at 4-4 in the second set on Wednesday evening, but when they returned on Thursday, Cerundolo surged to win eight of the final nine games to prevail.<\/p>\n<p>A day later, Cerundolo sinks Goffin:<\/p>\n<p>Up eight spots to No. 101 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings, Cerundolo awaits a quarter-final clash with top seed and two-time Gstaad champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/casper-ruud\/rh16\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Casper Ruud<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/arthur-cazaux\/c0h0\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Arthur Cazaux<\/a> held firm to upset fourth seed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atptour.com\/en\/players\/tomas-martin-etcheverry\/ea24\/overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tomas Martin Etcheverry<\/a> 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 and reach his maiden ATP Tour quarter-final.
