Common Chicago features projects by a spectrum of Chicago-based designers that address this question across a variety of scales and programmatic functions, including civic, institutional, housing, and open space.

<a class="floatbox" href="https://archinect.gumlet.io/uploads/ci/ci0x1b7w9ln5ts9q.jpg?auto=compress%2Cformat" title="The flower bed at Lafayette Gardens, designed and tended by the 411 Gardeners for the annual NYCHA competition for best flower garden, 1972.
