Manchester United loanee Andre Onana was sent out on loan to Turkish club Trabzonspor.<\/p>\n

After the deadline day signing of Senne Lammens<\/a>, it was clear that Andre Onana<\/a> was surplus to requirements at Manchester United.<\/p>\n

Onana had already dropped down to second choice, and was subsequently demoted to third. And that was not a scenario Onana was comfortable with.<\/p>\n

United and Onana hastily arranged a loan move to Turkish club Trabzonspor<\/a>, where Onana will spend the rest of the season.<\/p>\n

Andre Onana joined Manchester United<\/a> in summer 2023 as Erik ten Hag\u2019s chosen replacement for goalkeeper David de Gea.<\/p>\n

Onana\u2019s spell at United got off to a poor start, where he made several errors that contributed to United being eliminated from the Champions League group stages<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cameroon international made numerous mistakes during his time at United<\/a> that led TO him losing the trust of Amorim, and the fans.<\/p>\n

The final straw was the elimination by Grimsby in the Carabao Cup<\/a>, after which United stepped up interest in Lammens.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a press conference in Turkey, Onana spoke about his spell at Manchester United, and took no responsibility for the team\u2019s poor form last season.<\/p>\n

Onana instead said United\u2019s demise has been a collective problem, where all the players were responsible.<\/p>\n

He told CNN Turkey<\/a>: \u201cWe don\u2019t play individual\u00a0sports. You experience both wins and losses together. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou might not see certain details in victories, but those details come to the fore in losses.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that he wishes the best for United in his absence, commenting: \u201cI love the Manchester fans and have a good relationship with them. I wish them success.\u201d <\/p>\n

Onana looking towards new start in Turkey<\/p>\n

Onana played well in a 1-0 loss<\/a> to Fenerbahce on his debut. He is glad to be back playing, while making no promises about the season ahead.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will compete here, sometimes we will lose, sometimes we will win. I want to have a good season and be successful\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI consider myself a modern player. I try to adapt to the team\u2019s needs,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
