Actor James Woods is bashing Jimmy Kimmel in the wake of his boot from late night TV, calling him an \u201cunfunny\u201d money loser who should \u201ceat s\u2013t\u201d \u2014 and ripping his supporters as \u201cdouchebags.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Thursday, the Emmy winner \u2014 who has 5 million X followers<\/a> \u2014 feigned support for the embattled funnyman, and then went in for the knockout punch.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve all made jokes at Jimmy Kimmel\u2019s expense. But Mr. Kimmel is a fellow artist, and I am in fact heartbroken to see the way he has been treated. I believe he is, in his heart of hearts, a good and decent fellow, devoid of malice and hate,\u201d he begins in the post<\/a>, which racked up 5.3 million views and 235,000 likes. <\/p>\n \u201cJust kidding, Jimbo. X\/RealJamesWoods<\/p>\n On Friday, Woods, 78, also shared The Post headline<\/a> \u201cStephen Colbert declares \u2018Tonight we are all Jimmy Kimmel\u2019 in solemn show dedicated to canned late night host,\u201d on X and quipped \u201cHe\u2019s right. You\u2019re all douchebags.\u201d<\/p>\n That same day, the \u201cOnce Upon a Time in America\u201d actor posted a clip<\/a> of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cAll In with Chris Hayes,\u201d where the failed vice presidential candidate and frequent visitor to China called Kimmel\u2019s firing \u201cNorth Korea-style stuff\u201d that \u201chas no place in America.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGuys, enough is enough. Kimmel was fired because his show was a massive money loser. He was supposed to be funny, and no one was laughing. It couldn\u2019t be simpler,\u201d Woods posted alongside the video<\/a>.<\/p>\n In November, Woods, 78, celebrated Donald Trump\u2019s presidential victory on X, saying, \u201cMay God bless America and may He protect President Trump!\u201d GC Images<\/p>\n Woods wrote this in response to a Post article on Stephen Colbert\u2019s pledge of solidarity to Kimmel. X\/RealJamesWoods<\/p>\n Kimmel, 57, was\u00a0yanked from ABC \u201cindefinitely\u201d<\/a>\u00a0Wednesday after he made controversial comments about the assassination\u00a0of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, making a false claim that his alleged killer was a MAGA supporter.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cWe hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,\u201d Kimmel said during his monologue<\/a> on Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIn between the finger-pointing, the White House flew the flag at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level, you can see how hard the president was taking this.\u201d<\/p>\n Kimmel was taken off the air on Wednesday. ABC via Getty Images<\/p>\n Kimmel then aired a clip of President Trump being asked how he was doing after Kirk\u2019s murder, to which he replied, \u201cI think very good,\u201d then spoke about renovations at the White House.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s at the fourth stage of grief: construction,\u201d Kimmel added.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he called a friend. This is how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish. Okay?\u201d<\/p>\n Woods has also taken to X to profess his support for President Trump, and in November, celebrated his victory by saying<\/a>, \u201cIn historic affirmation of how desperately America has needed Donald Trump back in the White House, the Dow opens +1300 points. The only joy greater than this will be to watch the meltdown of liberal loonies everywhere.
