\n\tAhead of the movie\u2019s big splash at San Diego Comic-Con<\/a> next week in Hall H, Disney has dropped the official trailer for Tron: Ares<\/a>, its reboot of the classic 1980s live-action, trapped-in-a-video-game movie.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut consider the Joachim R\u00f8nning-directed movie an allegory for current days.<\/p>\n

\n\tA new poster also dropped today. See it below and the trailer above.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSo much talk of AI and big tech today,\u201d exclaims Evan Peters\u2019 Julian Dillinger, a corporate type who doesn\u2019t seem to have a hippie agenda.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cVirtual worlds, what are they going to look like? When will we get there?\u201d he asks in the trailer. \u201cThey are coming here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThat kingdom come is in the form of an ultimate soldier, that being Ares (Oscar winner Jared Leto), who has come to Earth all ablaze in red neon lights, and the floating upside-down \u2018U\u2019 Tron-thingy; these shooting lasers are splicing this and that and forming all sorts of light-cycle pathways. Seriously, this looks like a lotta fun and we\u2019re hoping that the laser light show in Hall H tops that shown in Disney\u2019s CinemaCon presentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong for the ride, living in the spiritual matrix, is Jeff Bridges\u2019 Kevin Flynn, the original computer programmer protag who got stuck in the video game in the original Tron. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition, Grammy-winning rock band Nine Inch Nails<\/a>, which composed the score for the movie, dropped a new single from the pic, \u201cAs Alive As You Need Me To Be,\u201d along with an official music video. It\u2019s the group\u2019s first music in five years.<\/p>\n

\n\tTron: Ares hits theaters October 10.<\/p>\n
