Embattled late night funnyman<\/a> Jimmy Kimmel hosted just one Republican guest on his ratings-challenged talk show over the past three years \u2014 while a study found he made sure nearly all his jokes landed at the expense of conservatives.<\/p>\n

Before being \u201cindefinitely\u201d yanked off his \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d this week<\/a> after making a false claim that conservative activist Charlie Kirk\u2019s alleged assassin was a MAGA supporter, Kimmel, 57, welcomed 13 left-leaning guests this year \u2014 and no Republicans, media watchdog NewsBusters found.<\/p>\n

The portion of Kimmel\u2019s jokes and gags targeting conservatives surged \u2014 from 88% in 2023 to 97% this year, the group found.<\/p>\n

He made 1,128 jokes targeted at President Donald Trump in 2025, far more than anyone else.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

His next two favorite targets: Trump\u2019s former adviser Elon Musk and War Secretary Pete Hegseth, who he slammed 154 and 71 times, respectively.<\/p>\n

By comparison, gaffe-prone former President Joe Biden led all Dems in Kimmel goofs \u2014 but somehow managed to be a punchline only 26 times, the group found.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s former adviser, Elon Musk, and War Secretary Pete Hegseth were some of the main focuses of Kimmel\u2019s jokes.<\/p>\n

Since returning from summer vacation Sept. 2, Kimmel has spent roughly 90 minutes of monologue time over nine episodes railing against Trump<\/a>, a Post review of his monologues found.<\/a><\/p>\n

Kimmel, who has hosted the ABC show since 2003, \u201chas become a shill for the left and a persistent source of boring unfunny narratives. People I know who have interacted with him also say he\u2019s a jerkoff,\u201d Trump\u2019s longtime political adviser Roger Stone told The Post.<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s lone GOP guest in four years claimed he had to agree to humiliate himself to get air time.<\/p>\n

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell<\/a>, Trump\u2019s longtime pal and a major Republican donor, appeared on JKL in 2023, but only after agreeing to spend the entire interview inside an arcade claw-machine game because he wasn\u2019t vaccinated. Kimmel, however, said he insisted Lindell be in the claw machine \u201cbecause it\u2019s hilarious.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

A former Kimmel staffer tried to defend the program by rattling off prominent GOPers who have been on \u2013 Sens. Ted Cruz, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Bill Cassidy.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh and your king Donald Trump was a guest on Kimmel,\u201d said Blaire Erskine<\/a>, a writer from 2021 to 2024, on X.<\/p>\n

But Trump\u2019s appearance<\/a> was 10 years ago.<\/p>\n

Cassidy, the most recent guest,\u00a0came on in 2017<\/a>, and was slammed for the GOP\u2019s health care bill.<\/p>\n

Former NYC Council Minority Leader Joe Borelli (R-Staten Island) said the NewsBusters data prove without a doubt Kimmel is a \u201cliberal hack\u201d who was \u201ca lot funnier fat.\u201d<\/p>\n

From September 2022 through June, the group tracked 511 liberal or Democratic guests<\/a> across late-night TV, compared to just 14 conservatives and Republicans. The study looked at shows hosted by Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and Jon Stewart.<\/p>\n

Two months ago, CBS announced it\u2019s canceling Colbert\u2019s \u201cLate Show<\/a>\u201d in May, citing financial reasons.<\/p>\n

Curtis Houck,\u00a0managing editor of NewsBusters, called \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!\u201d nothing but \u201cpartisan sneering.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor a man hailed by friends as someone whose kindness and sincerity are allegedly defining features, his so-called comedy is the opposite,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile [Stephen] Colbert was late-night group therapy for liberals, Kimmel was a daily pep rally for liberals and a source of unearned validation for their land of delusion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel came under fire after saying on Monday\u2019s show the \u201cMAGA gang\u201d tried\u00a0scoring political points off Charlie Kirk\u2019s savage public execution<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,\u201d Kimmel said.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, ABC announced it was pulling the show \u201cindefinitely.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s suspension sparked outcry about free speech<\/a> and government overreach. <\/p>\n

However, Vice President JD Vance said he\u2019s not buying it. <\/p>\n

\u201cJimmy Kimmel wasn\u2019t funny, his ratings were in the toilet, and his advertisers were revolting\u201d said Vance on X <\/a>Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso the bellyaching from the left over \u2018free speech\u2019 after the Biden years fools precisely no one,\u201d he added in an apparent reference to Democrats allegedly covering up Biden\u2019s declining health<\/a> during the 2024 federal election campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not about freedom of speech,\u201d Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Staten Island\/Brooklyn) told The Post. \u201cIt\u2019s about maintaining an audience and ratings. A politically lopsided show has a hard time doing that, which is why [Kimmel] lost nearly a million viewers over the past decade.\u201d<\/p>\n
