The \u201cFortnight\u201d singer, 35, is revealing what Swifties can expect from the release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/a> \u2014 including exclusive photocards and poems tied to the era \u2014 13 days ahead of its Oct. 3 release.<\/p>\n In an Instagram video<\/a> on Saturday, Sept. 20, the Grammy winner gushed about her \u201cextraordinary\u201d album photo shoot with Martin Marcus \u2014 and admitted she loved it so much that she released more photos than she initially intended.<\/p>\n \u201cI just wanted the fans to have as many images from this sort of world this album era as possible,\u201d Swift said in the video. \u201cAnd so I really spent a lot of time figuring out how I could make the best vinyl product and the best packaging and the best CD experience that they could have.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSo we’ve got \u2014 the CDs all have photo cards in them, the vinyls, they each have a poem inside of them, a unique poem,\u201d she continued. \u201cThey’ve got more images than we ever planned to put in there.\u201d<\/p>\n She also discussed the different details of the album, including its \u201chigh-gloss finish,\u201d a design choice she\u2019d \u201cnever done before\u201d and one she thought was perfect for channeling the glitz and dazzle of a showgirl.<\/p>\n Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot<\/p>\n Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ album<\/p>\n \u201cI think we wanted this album to feel really luxurious,\u201d Swift explained. \u201cAnd kind of as a nod to the luxury that a showgirl puts on when she’s onstage.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cMeanwhile, like in the quick-change room, she’s like [heaving],\u201d she joked. \u201cMaybe that’s just me.
