Sources have confirmed to Deadline that <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/taika-waititi\/\" id=\"auto-tag_taika-waititi\" data-tag=\"taika-waititi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Taika Waititi<\/a> is attached to direct a new <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/judge-dredd\/\" id=\"auto-tag_judge-dredd\" data-tag=\"judge-dredd\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Judge Dredd<\/a> movie from a script by <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/drew-pearce\/\" id=\"auto-tag_drew-pearce\" data-tag=\"drew-pearce\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Drew Pearce<\/a>. Insiders say the package just went to market and no offers are out yet, but given the parties involved it should certainly get some looks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tChris Kingsley, Jason Kingsley and Ben Smith of Rebellion Developments, Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment, Jeremy Platt, Natalie Viscuso and Pearce are among the producers involved in the package.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCreated by John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra, Dredd is a police officer stationed in the metropolis of Mega-City One, where officers are empowered to be judge, jury and executioner. Hollywood has adapted the property multiple times including a 1995 film starring Sylvester Stallone as well as a 2012 version starring Karl Urban.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tDetails behind the new project are unknown other then it featuring some of more lighter comedic touches to the property for which Waititi films are known.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMore to come as this story unfolds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Here is a hot package heating up the market from two high-profile talents and an infamous crime-stopper.
