Barcelona sporting director Deco has reportedly met with some people close to Xavi Simons to talk about the future.<\/p>\n

Diario Sport are reporting that Deco met with Ali Barat, who is confusingly described as \u201cnot being his agent as such\u201d but a person \u201cwho has some power in the Dutch player\u2019s decision-making.\u201d Simons\u2019 brother Faustino was also at the meeting.<\/p>\n

The meeting was held in a hotel in Barcelona and lasted around 45 minutes. Rather curiously, it seems the chat focused on how a Barcelona move for Simons really isn\u2019t likely this summer.<\/p>\n

There has been talk of Simons heading back to Barcelona before<\/a>, but his \u20ac70 million price tag is way out of the club\u2019s reach at present or, as Sport say, \u201ccompletely unaffordable.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also the problem that Flick already thinks he has too many midfielders<\/a>, meaning there\u2019s very little chance of Barca adding another this summer.<\/p>\n
