\n\tDave Bautista<\/a> isn\u2019t interested in working with people who \u2014 to put it lightly \u2014 are assholes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile speaking with Collider<\/a> alongside J.J. Perry, the Afterburn<\/a> star and director raved about their working relationship. The two shared that they\u2019ve bonded while working on the 2025 film and The Killer\u2019s Game together, which prompted the outlet\u2019s reporter to note that \u201cif you\u2019re working with someone who\u2019s an asshole, it makes the [film] entire shoot, from what I understand, horrific.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAbsolutely awful,\u201d Bautista replied in agreement. \u201cI\u2019m just at the age and at the point of my life where life\u2019s just too goddamn short. I want to work with people I just love and respect, because I love this business. I love filmmaking, and if people don\u2019t want to be there, I don\u2019t want to be there with them. You know? I\u2019m happy to be there.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe wrestler turned actor<\/a> continued, \u201cIt\u2019s a love thing for me, and I\u2019m passionate about it. I want to be there, and I want to make the most of it, so I don\u2019t want to hear people bitching, complaining, moaning and groaning about doing something that we\u2019re all fortunate enough to be doing and making.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBautista has long been candid about his passion for acting. Since starring in Marvel\u2019s Guardians of the Galaxy<\/a>, he\u2019s gone on to appear in a slew of films, including Dune and The Naked Gun, and has plenty of projects in the works, including the Highlander remake<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen reflecting on his sprawling career as an actor, Bautista told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> that \u201cit\u2019s an understatement when I say how much I love [acting,]\u201d while adding that he wants to continue to grow and enter the awards conversation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTo hear that people think highly of you or they respect you, it feels great, but the thing that bothers me is that I don\u2019t feel like people have seen the best of me,\u201d he added. \u201cI don\u2019t feel like I\u2019ve seen the best of me. I feel like I can be better. I feel like I need that project. I need that director to challenge me and bring that out of me. And I will openly say that I want to be in award conversations. I want to be that caliber of actor, but I don\u2019t know how I can be more proactive in trying to get those roles. I have these conversations with my agents every day.
