Samsung is working on One UI 8.5, its next major Android update for Galaxy devices, and the leaks are pouring in with new AI capabilities and some Liquid Glass vibes throughout.<\/p>\n
Galaxy AI has been the star of the show for Samsung\u2019s hardware as of late, and One UI 8.5 seems to be preparing a feature expansion. As shown in a screenshot shared on Twitter\/X<\/a>, Galaxy AI looks to be adding four new categories of features.<\/p>\n Samsung describes the new additions as follows:<\/p>\n Meeting assist: Get real-time translation of meeting conversations and presentation screens.<\/p>\n Touch assistant: Improve your reading effiency by processing the text shown on the screen.<\/p>\n Smart clipboard: Get intelligent recommendations for useful functions \u2013 such as Correct, Summarize, Translate, Add to favorites, Search, and Open \u2013 when you copy content.<\/p>\n Social composer: In social media apps, generate posts based on images you uploaded. In shopping apps, generate reviews based on your purchases.<\/p>\n Beyond that, the folks over at Android Authority<\/a> spotted that One UI 8.5 will support Gemini, Gauss Cloud, and Perplexity as AI agents through a new launcher shortcut that seems like it might replace the Google Search bar. Apparently, this would focus on concise respones to questions of no more than 3 sentences.<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n Meanwhile, SammyGuru has spotted some app changes.<\/p>\n The My Files app is getting a redesign<\/a> with some circular categories and a lot of Liquid Glass vibes. While the design isn\u2019t quite the same as Apple\u2019s new aesthetic in iOS 26, the shapes and placement feel eerily similar.
