\n\tJessica Sanchez is the extraordinary comeback kid of America\u2019s Got Talent. And just maybe, the champion of season 20. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Texas native has a life story that could\u2019ve been a script written for reality TV. She auditioned for the first season of\u00a0America\u2019s Got Talent<\/a>\u00a0back in 2006, when she herself was a child. Now, performing in the finals of AGT<\/a> 2025, she\u2019s nine months pregnant with a daughter of her own.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Tuesday night\u2019s (Sept. 23) finale, Sanchez cranked up the drama and the action, with a performance of \u201cDie With A Smile\u201d by Lady Gaga<\/a> and Bruno Mars<\/a>. Wearing a delicate all-white ensemble, Sanchez was all power and precision, her performance triggering fireworks, confetti and a standing ovation from a full house.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen she\u00a0auditioned<\/a>\u00a0by singing Benson Boone\u2019s \u201cBeautiful Things,\u201d Sanchez blew away the judges and scored Sof\u00eda Vergara\u2019s golden buzzer, sending her immediately to the live round of the competition.<\/p>\n

\n\tNaturally, Vergara spoke first, and enthusiastically, about Sanchez\u2019s chances of winning the $1 million prize. \u201cIt\u2019s perfection,\u201d she remarked after the singer\u2019s final performance. \u201cYou look like a little pregnant angel. I mean you look beautiful, your voice, I\u2019ve never heard anything like that. Bravo Jessica.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWith every performance, remarked Mel B, \u201cyou kind of bring us into your world. You give us more emotion, more passion.\u201d And no matter the song, Sanchez\u2019s \u201cvocals are just flawless and pitch perfect, every single time.\u201d Sanchez stuck with the script, noted the Spice Girl, by not delivering her baby before the finale.<\/p>\n

\n\tHowie Mandel wasn\u2019t thrilled with Sanchez\u2019s previous choice of song<\/a>, but he had no qualms this time. \u201cSo far this is the best act of the night,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

\n\tSimon Cowell, as he so often does, was last to offer his insights. \u201cI felt there was an extra 10% from you, from before,\u201d he explained. \u201cActually, there are two of you. So it\u2019s like a duo.\u201d Having Sanchez return for the 20th anniversary of AGT was \u201cso important,\u201d he continued, \u201cto show that even if you don\u2019t win the first time, you\u2019ve got to always believe in yourself, right. And that\u2019s what you\u2019ve done.\u201d The arrangement was \u201cbeautiful\u201d and Sanchez, he remarked, \u201csounded amazing\u201d and delivered perhaps her best performance yet.<\/p>\n
