Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham<\/a> has shared how it is to have a WNBA superstar, Caitlin Clark, as a teammate in a recent interview. On Tuesday, Sept. 23, Cunningham appeared on \u201cThe Young Man and The Three\u201d podcast, where they discussed\u00a0the WNBA veteran overcoming injuries and being part of coach Stephanie White\u2019s Fever squad.<\/p>\n In one instance, Cunningham was asked by host Tommy Alter what she learned about sophomore superstar Clark as a teammate that she didn\u2019t know initially. Cunningham compared Clark to one of her younger family members, saying the way she acts is reminiscent of kids.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s just a big kid, you know what I mean? Like she is so phenomenal and so elite at her craft, a generational talent. I don\u2019t think I have to hype her up anymore. In fact, we need to get her head a little bit down, and that\u2019s what I\u2019ve done a little bit. We\u2019ve had a fun relationship so far but, really she, I don\u2019t know. She loves hard, but at the end of the day, she\u2019s like one of my little cousins,\u201d Cunningham explained (31:07).<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s the age of them. She acts like them. I\u2019m just like, \u2018Dude, you\u2019re a dweeb. Like you\u2019re the biggest dork I\u2019ve probably ever met. And just somehow, you know how to shoot from far out. So, and you\u2019re really great at passing,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Cunningham is currently in her seventh season in the league, while Clark uncorked her second campaign. During the 2025 WNBA regular season, they were able to help coach Stephanie White\u2019s Fever squad to an overall record of 24-20, decent for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference.
