(WCSC) &#8211; The Berkeley County School District confirmed that a middle school student was found to have a knife in their possession on school grounds on Wednesday morning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Berkeley County Middle School student, whose name and age were not released, was isolated immediately and there was no immediate threat, district spokesperson Katie Tanner said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tanner said school administrators received a report that a student may have a weapon. School leaders and the school resource officer searched the student and found the knife, which they confiscated, she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe school is following all district policy and procedure to address this incident,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tanner said the school was not placed on lockdown. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Wednesday\u2019s discovery was the second time a student was found with a weapon on campus at the same school. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.live5news.com\/2025\/09\/22\/loaded-firearm-found-berkeley-middle-school-campus\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.live5news.com\/2025\/09\/22\/loaded-firearm-found-berkeley-middle-school-campus\/\">A student was found to have a loaded handgun on the campus on Monday morning<\/a>, district officials said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 WCSC.
