EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 Bruce Springsteen sings about the violence in the borderland in new song about Juarez.<\/p>\n
In The Boss’ newest project he released a song titled “Ciudad Juarez,” where he touches on violent issues such femicides, drug trafficking and gun running. <\/p>\n
In the song’s first verse, Springsteen sings,<\/p>\n
I have a daughter as beautiful as the evening sun
We traveled north where we heard there was work to be done
She vanished into the streets of the city of death
The city of my lost heart

The song is featured in Springsteen’s new box set, “Tracks II: The Lost Albums,” which collects seven previously unreleased and unheard records made between 1983 and 2018, according to Amazon music. <\/p>\n
The Ciudad Juarez song is featured in the album “Inyo,” which Springsteen made back in the 90s after he made “The Ghost of Tom Joad” record, his eleventh.<\/p>\n
With tracks called “Adelita,” “El Jardinero (Upon the Death of Ramona),” and “Adelita,” Inyo focuses on tales in and around the borderland and Mexican culture.<\/p>\n
RECOMMENDED:Boxer Keilah Delgado shares insights from Manny Pacquiao’s training camp<\/a><\/p>\n According to Bruce Springteen’s website, Springsteen collaborated with mariachi musicians throughout the album, teaming up with musicians such as Luis Villalobos, Alberto Villalobos, Angel Ramos, Humberto Manuel Flores Gutierrez, David Glukh, Jorge Espinosa and Miguel Ponce.<\/p>\n About Inyo, Springsteen wrote on his website:<\/p>\n ‘Inyo’ was a record I wrote in California during long drives along the California aqueduct, up through Inyo County on my way to Yosemite or Death Valley. I was enjoying that kind of writing so much. [On \u2018The Ghost Of Tom Joad\u2019 tour] I would go home to the hotel room at night and continue to write in that style because I thought I was going to follow up \u2018The Ghost of Tom Joad\u2019 with a similar record, but I didn\u2019t.
